The New York Post calls him the “food nanny.” Mayor Mike Bloomberg is trying to get restaurants and food manufacturers in New York City to reduce the salt content of the food they sell. The New York Times says as with other city health initiatives, this would likely have national implications. The goal is for a 25-percent reduction in salt over the next five years.
