New Concern: Gas Shortage To Fuel Lack of Demand

There’s a fascinating story about gasoline supplies in the Wall Street Journal this morning. In New York and New Jersey, people are lined up everywhere for gas, but the gas traders are worried about a lack of demand for fuel. Their thinking is that the storm will hurt the economy and reduce travel to the point that gas demand will fall way below what’s typical at this time of year.
