Netflix Morphing into ‘Industry Hulk’

There’s a pretty amazing graph in the Wall Street Journal this morning about the rise of Netflix. By successfully switching its business model to one based on streaming movies over the Internet, the company is poised to become an “industry hulk.” The number of Netflix subscribers has grown 52 percent over the last year while pay-per-view channels like HBO and Showtime reported a loss in subscribers “for the first time since the dawn of cable.”
