NASA Aims to Put Humanoid Robot on Moon

If we can’t afford to send an actual man back to the moon, NASA figures we better send a robot that at least looks like a man says the New York Times. The idea is known as Project M and it’s estimated that it will cost about $200 million; sending a man to the moon would carry a price tag of about $150 billion. NASA says they can complete the project in less than 1000 days. If successful, Project M would put the first “humanoid robot in space.” But don’t expect it to get a hero’s welcome—the Times says it will “help with housekeeping chores” at the International Space Station.
