Murdoch Plans to Deliver Newpaper to iPads, Smartphones

Rupert Murdoch may be 79 years old but that doesn’t mean he’s not hip to the times. Apparently, the media mogul is developing a digital newspaper that people can pay to have delivered right their iPads or smartphones reports the LA Times. It will have more of a general interest slant than the Wall Street Journal, another Murdoch enterprise, and insiders say it will be helmed by New York Post editor Jesse Angelo. There’s no word on when it will debut but insiders say Murdoch would like to roll it out before the end of the year. Industry experts say the idea “underscores how the iPad is transforming the reading habits of consumers much like the iPod changed how people listen to music.”
