Mr. Guinness Book of World Records

Call him Mr. Guinness. Actually, his name is Ashrita Furman but with 120 records under his belt, the Wall Street Journal says he holds “the ultimate Guinness world record: The record for Guinness world records.” Furman set his first back in 1979 when he completed 27,000 jumping jacks.

And next weekend he hopes to set another one—walking in the world’s heaviest shoes. Some of his strangest feats include sack racing a yak in Mongolia and cutting 27 apples in midair with a samurai sword. Of that last one Furman says,  “It took a year of practice and I stabbed myself often.”
