Mom Sues Over Tot’s Ruined Ivy League Chances


A Manhattan mother is suing her four-year-old daughter’s preschool for ruining the toddler’s chance at getting into an Ivy League school. The New York Post says the girl’s “Ivy League dreams have been all but dashed” because she was forced to learn with younger kids when she “should have been focusing on test preparation to get into an elite elementary school.”

Among its many claims (“studies have shown entry into a good nursery school guarantees more income than entry into an average school”), the suit alleged that her four-year-old daughter was still learning shapes and colors, instead of, I guess, advanced trigonometry.

Speaking of asinine, this is a pretty good, albeit dated, list of the Top Ten Most Ridiculous, Asinine, Crazy Lawsuits of All Time. Nothing like suing a haunted house for being too scary to get you on the list.

The little girl and mom in the lawsuit reminded me of Rick Moranis and his daughter in “Parenthood”:
