Miners Vying for Guinness Record

It’s not camaraderie that has the trapped miners in Chile falling all over themselves to let their co-workers be rescued first. It’s not solidarity either. It’s a good old-fashioned desire to make the Guinness Book of World Records as the last man standing says the Washington Post. Above ground, preparations for the rescue are being finalized.

It’s not the first time the miners have bided their time underground. Remember this story, about one of the miners whose wife and mistress met while attending a vigil?
