Man Wins Roach-Eating Contest, Then Dies (VIDEO)

A 32-year-old Florida man is dead, just moments after he won a local roach-eating contest, reports the Sun Sentinel this morning. VIDEO shows Edward Archbold shoving fistfuls of insects into his mouth before collapsing at the scene. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died. A reptile store organized the contest—the prize was a free python—and says all the bugs served were “bred in sterile conditions.”
