Man Drives Plane into Texas IRS Building

A low-lying plane was flown into an IRS building in downtown Austin yesterday afternoon in an apparent suicide mission says the American Statesman. The crash ignited a huge blast, one that left at least two people dead and two injured. Police say the man responsible died in the crash and left a “rambling Internet message” about the US tax system before setting his house on fire and flying into the building.
The American Statesman also has a good profile of Joe Stack, the man responsible for the crash. And one Statesman writer talks about his shock when, after watching the news reports file in, he realized he knew Stack.
