Man Behind NSA Leaks Outs Himself


The man behind the NSA leaks has outed himself, reports the Washington Post on its front page this morning. Edward Snowden is a 29-year-old tech specialist and former undercover CIA employee. He says that “no single event” confirmed his decision to blow the whistle on the NSA, but noted that the “President Obama has failed to live up to his pledges of transparency.” Experts say Snowden’s acknowledgment is highly unprecedented and opens him up to prosecution.
