Lunch Ladies Use Cheese Sandwiches as Punishment

There are no smiles when they say cheese. As punishment for another food fight, a group of New Jersey lunch ladies has decided to serve only cheese sandwiches for the rest of this week reports the Press of Atlantic City. The sandwich-as-punishment rule is actually on the school district’s books as the appropriate punishment for cafeteria food fights.

The ladies employed the same punishment back in April, a story that went on to become international news. It also inspired the school’s art teach to provide a drawing of a smiling cheese sandwich for a t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan, “A.C.H.S. Home of the Cheese Sandwich.” On the back of the shirt was a message the school’s student surely know by now: “Don’t mess with the lunch ladies.”
