Kevin Spacey: Washington DC Character Actor

The Washington Post says Kevin Spacey is “practically a local” after seeing his latest role in David Fincher’s Netflix miniseries, “House of Cards.” I saw the first two episodes at an early screening last night, and it’s riveting.  Spacey plays a sinister House majority whip, which, when added with his role as campaign staffer Ron Klain in “Recount” and superlobbyist Jack Abramoff in “Casino Jack,” gives him a “Beltway trinity.” Given his recent track record, the Post asked Spacey if he plans to play the president anytime soon. His smirking response:  “I can’t presume who would like to cast me.”
