Kate Middleton: No-Frills Noble

Kate and William had their cowboy hats on in my hometown of Calgary yesterday. That’s the thing you do, as shown in the photo below, taken from the Kiernan family archives. USA Today notes how small Kate’s entourage is. Basically, she’s only brought along her hairstylist. Several PR experts weigh in, saying that will likely change as her responsibilities increase: “As her time is taken up more, she’ll need more help.” They also note that image-savvy celebrities go to great pains not to be photographed with a lot of help nearby: “You only see the celebs with their children. They keep the nannies out of the spotlight. People are not wanting to appear too spoiled or over-attended to.”
