“Jeopardy” Pits Man Versus Machine

Ken Jennings is hoping the questions are more than just elementary for dear Watson. The “Jeopardy” champ will square off against Watson, an artificial intelligence machine from IBM, on an upcoming episode says the New York Post. Watson will be required to buzz in and answer question just like Jennings and Brad Rutter, who won more than $3 million playing “Jeopardy” back in February. IBM engineers say they’ve programmed Watson to recognize “puns, slang and acronyms” and analyze sentence structure. The show down is scheduled for February.
