iPads on a Plane

They just declared bankruptcy, but that doesn’t mean their pilots will be empty handed this Christmas. The Chicago Tribune says American Airlines is outfitting its pilots with iPads, to replace the “brain bags”—bulky cases they use to tote flight manuals and diagrams. The Tribune says the iPads won’t have Wi-Fi, though, so there’s no need to worry about another Words with Friends incident mid-air.
