Hurried School Lunches Making Kids Fat

Schools don’t leave kids enough time to eat lunch, and that may be contributing to childhood obesity. USA Today reports the typical American high school allows just 30 minutes for lunch. In that short window they have to get to the cafeteria, buy lunch, eat it, visit the bathroom and get organized for their afternoon classes. Experts say healthy food typically takes longer to eat, and you’re more likely to overeat if you’re in a rush.
