HS BBall Star Sinks Winning Basket, Then Dies

There’s a tragic story out of Michigan this morning. A 16-year-old basketball player Wes Leonard scored the winning layup last night, a basket that seal his team’s perfect season. Then, to the horror of hundreds of fans who were looking on, Leonard collapsed. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital reports the Holland Sentinel. Seconds before he collapsed, Leonard had been hoisted on to the shoulder’s of his teammates. Medical staff say he arrived at the hospital in cardiac arrest.
