How to De-Clutter Your Inbox


Your inbox doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Jenna Wortham has some excellent tips on how to de-clutter your email in today’s New York Times, tips I’m planning on implementing right away. First off, she says do away with those Facebook alerts. There’s no need to get pinged every time someone likes a photo you’re in. Second, repeat this mantra: Filters are your friend. Set up few to weed out notes for lists you can’t unsubscribe from—like your aunt’s daily haiku. And finally try to check your email only two or three times a day, instead of constantly.
