How Designers Make Clothes Ready to Wear


Everyone likes to marvel at the clothes coming down the runway, but would anyone actually wear them? The Wall Street Journal has a really interesting look on how samples are tweaked before being sold to the general public. Using a white shirt from Donna Karan as an example, the Journal shows how garments are widened, hemmed, and altered to make them ready to wear.
