One of the greatest Oscars photos I’ve seen is of these two guys—William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg—who won an Oscar for their short film, “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.” Joyce gave a shout out to their home state in his acceptance speech (“Look, we’re just these two swamp rats from Louisiana…”) and the Shreveport Times returned the favor, putting the jubliant pair of the front page of today’s paper.
