Hairstyle of the Year: The Karlie

In the tradition of “the Farrah,” “the Rachel,” and “the Biebs,” the New York Times says 2013’s Haircut of the Year is “the Karlie.” As in model Karlie Kloss. The look hits above the shoulder and usually includes bangs, a style Vogue calls “swingy, sexy — and refreshingly easy to wear.” As for Ms. Kloss, she says: “[The cut] actually takes the focus off your hair and puts the focus on you. I’m starting to realize that it’s all about confidence.”
