The sous vide machine has left the professional kitchen. The holidays are looking a lot geekier for food lovers this year says the LA Times. Equipment that was once only used by the pros is being heavily marketed towards the home cook. So much for a peeler in your stocking—these days it’s all about induction burners, hand-held smokers and vacuum sealers.
