Game Console Identity Complex

Do you belong to a Wii family? Got Xbox in-laws? Beth Teitell of the Boston Globe warns readers to choose wisely when buying a gaming console this Christmas because the choice can define a family identity for years to come.  According to Teitell, the “choice is an electronic version of other house-defining decisions, like which snacks to have in the kitchen when your children’s friends visit: Oreos or carrots.”

Explains a video game(!) expert: “You don’t want to be that kid stuck playing the game system that all of your buddies hate or don’t own, or the kid playing something no one’s ever heard of from Slovenia.”

As far as I can determine, Wii seems to be equivalent to a handful of carrots.
