Wide flier wasn’t airborne until properly seated


The New York Post has a follow up this morning on a story we featured yesterday about the possible safety risks of letting obese people fly on planes. The plane didn’t take off until the big man was safely seated across three seats with a seat belt extender.

Most airline don’t have set rules about how to deal with overweight passengers, though many airline employees say they have expressed their concern regarding the matter to the FAA.
