Farmers Irked By Meteor Searchers

Meteors bring in big bucks. That’s why the huge meteor that streaked across the Midwestern sky last week brought out hordes of treasure hunters, all hoping to get their hands on a piece of the space rock. But the Chicago Tribune says with planting season right around the corner, some farmers aren’t so happy to have uninvited guests traipsing through their fields. The rocks are so valuable that the Tribune shields the farmer’s identities (and the locations of their fields) in their story today, referring to them only as Farmer #1, #2 and #3.
