Fake Armored Car Guard Walks Away with $15K

He told them he was there for a pickup. Employees at the check cashing store in Queens recognized his armored courier uniform and so they handed over $15,000 in cash. The New York Daily News says they should’ve looked a little closer. It wasn’t until the real courier arrived later in the day that they realized they’d been robbed. Police have yet to track down the clever thief but are investigating whether he was a previous employee of the armored car company.
