“Face to Face, with Space”

R. Kelly might not find anything wrong with a little bump and grind but school officials in Florida do. The Tampa Tribune says one high school in the area has decided to ban grinding at their homecoming dance. In something that sounds more like Red Rover, students are expected to dance following a new rule: “Face to face, with space.”

For their part, teachers say it’s embarrassing to break-up a grind session going on between two of their students. And administrators say it’s been harder to recruit chaperones for school dances, regardless of the comp time offered.

This story couldn’t help me think of Watermelon scene from “Dirty Dancing,” the one where Jennifer Grey looks as shocked as some of those teachers in Tampa:
