Disney Lobbies for New Ticket Law in Florida

After introducing its new “MyMagic+” system, Disney is lobbying Florida lawmakers to rewrite the state’s ticket laws to include protection for the electronic wristbands, which the company says represent the future. The Orlando Sentinel says the new bill would include stricter regulations on the fraudulent sale of theme-park tickets, something that has become “a criminal cottage industry in Florida.” But opponents to the bill say the new language would make it unfairly difficult for people to resell tickets to football games and concerts.
