College Swimming Requirement Floats Away


For many college students, graduation day might seem like a sink-or-swim moment but at Cornell University, that’s what it literally means. The Wall Street Journal says Cornell is one of a handful of schools that still require its students to pass a swim test before they graduate. The practice used to be widespread but most schools have abandoned teaching life skills to focus on more academic training.
