Christian Bale is not welcome in China. The actor got into a dust-up on a recent trip after he tried to visit the home of a political dissident. The LA Times says the incident illustrates the fine line Hollywood stars must walk in China—if they are too outspoken they risk run-ins with the government, if they are too soft they risk rebukes from human-rights groups.
