“Cheap China” Not So Cheap

“Cheap China” isn’t so cheap anymore, a development that is hitting tech firms especially hard. The minimum wage has increased by 22 percent in many of China’s provinces, in part fueled by stories of high rates of workers’ suicides. The San Jose Mercury News says higher wages in China could mean Americans will have to pay more for their gadgets in the near future.
