Car Stickers Get More Complex

The San Jose Mercury News says soon, there’ll be a lot more to look at on a car’s sticker. Starting with 2013 models, dealers will be required by law to display fuel cost savings for high-mileage cars, how many gallons per 100 miles a car gets and information about gas emissions and smog. Also, in “big, bold print” the stickers, which are based on a format that’s been used in California for several years, will let customers know how much electricity their potential purchase would run through if it were a hybrid or electric model.
