Blanket/Chair Gets Teen a Patent

Sports fans have a Missouri teenager to thank for changing the spectator game. The Kansas City Star says the 15-year-old boy is the recipient of US patent No. 7,857,378 for a chair/blanket he designed. Inspired by many cold days on the sidelines watching his brother play soccer, the chair comes with an attached blanket and carrying case. And the whole thing can be folded up so it’s easy to take to sporting events.

The Star says more than two dozen companies have contact the high school freshman about manufacturing his Sports Snuggler. For now, however, he’s given them the same answer: Talk to my lawyer.
