AUDIO: September 11 Story in the Air
Thursday, 08 September 2011 | by Pat's Picks

The New York Times has some newly published audio from the morning of September 11, which paints a haunting picture of what unfolded that day. You can hear everything that morning, from the initial confusion in the air traffic controllers voices to screaming in the background of United 93. The clips are collection of dispatches from the FAA, NORAD and American Airlines. Some of the material has been published previously but never before has such a birds-eye view of what happened that morning been available.
