‘Argo’ Night at the Oscars

It was an “Argo” night in Hollywood yesterday, says the LA Times. The film took home a statue (presented by Jack Nicholson and First Lady Michelle Obama, no less) for Best Picture in a “night of redemption for Ben Affleck” who was surprisingly left off the list of contenders for Best Director. Ang Lee got that Oscar, for directing “Life of Pi,” while Daniel Day-Lewis won for Best Actor (“Lincoln”) and Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress (“Silver Linings Playbook”).
