VIDEO: Happy Canada Day, New York

My friend Ali Velshi and I co-anchored a business news show for several years at CNNfn. We reunited to celebrate a holiday that’s oft-overlooked on this side of the border: Canada Day.

In the mock newscast we recorded for the Candian consulate, we try to establish who’s the most Canadian of all New York news anchors. Writer Kevin Janus came up with the label “ex-Pat” Kiernan for me.

The fake newscast is fun, but my favorite part of this is the Bryan Adams clip near the end, which he actually taped on stage during a concert. Check it out below:
