Thanksgiving Time Wasters

Hopefully by now you’re sated with turkey and mashed potatoes or at least well on your way. That means it’s the perfect time to check out this list I found in the Huffington Post yesterday. It’s called “7 Sites You Should Be Wasting Time on Right Now.” Kind of says it all, doesn’t it? 

Though perhaps not as distracting as football, they’re all pretty funny and definitely worth a few clicks. Uncomfortable Moments with Putin has amassed an amazing collection of photos showing Russia’s Prime Minister with the same expression on his face whether he’s sitting next to Angela Merkel or an adorable puppy.

Dear Blank Please Blank is another gem. It’s a list of “letters” written by things or people—High School, Cupcakes, boys who wear skinny jeans—to other things and people—Self Confidence, 24-Hour Fitness, God—that can’t respond but whose behavior is nonetheless frustrating. My favorite is a note to grammar:

If, however, I was forced to waste my time on only one of the sites the Huffington Post chose, it would have to be the genius Seinquote. Perfect for Thanksgiving, the site offers up a simple serving of nostalgia with a Seinfeld quote of the day. My only question is why no one thought of this before.
