Sometimes when you look outside on a cold, sunny day you can be lulled into thinking that it’s really not so bad outside. But the huge plumes of smoke and steam from every building today are a pretty good clue that it’s really cold. It’s not the kind of cold weather I grew up with in Canada, but it’s still plenty cold by New York standards. In fact, it’s the coldest day so far this winter with our early morning low of 6 degrees.
