How to Fall Back in Love with New York

Writer Mary Phillips-Sandy has some words of advice if you feel like you’re falling out of love with New York. Among the highlights, she says, explore Chinatown or one of the lesser-known museums. Take in the diversity of Church Avenue in Brooklyn. Avoid gourmet cupcake shops, Times Square, H&M and pilates classes. “Spend as much time as you can with people who are inclined (or willing) to avoid talking about how awful New York is, how hard it is, how much it costs, how it used to be better, how there are no good jobs, how it must be better someplace else.” The piece came to my attention because Mary also suggests getting your daily dose of news from me. Thank you for that.
