$5K For Sandy Relief

Thank you to everyone who help make last night’s Trivia for Sandy Relief a great success—and a great time! Organized by Trivworks, we managed to raise more than $5,000, money that will be split between two organizations—the The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City, and Brooklyn Community Foundation Recovery Fund. There are so many people who graciously dedicated their time last night, I had to make a list:

First and foremost, I want to thank the 300+ people who showed up and threw down some serious trivia smarts.

Thanks to the The Bell House for hosting us.

Photographer Michael Cinquino gets a big thank you for donating a print of his excellent photo showing Manhattan with half its lights out in Sandy’s aftermath.

Thanks to Christine Nimocks Fitzsimonds and Rachel Shelasky who were selling the very cool Sandy-themed I Heart NY t-shirts. As you can see from above, I’m a fan.

Eliot Glazer and Jackie Mancini were awesome enough to perform their very funny can-you-believe-my-New-York-mother trivia.

Christian Finnegan demonstrated equal awesome-ness for warming up the crowd with some hilarious New York-themed trivia.

And, last but definitely not least, a big thank you to Daly Pie for supplying what every good trivia night requires…PIE!!
