Teen Brains Show Path to Pop Music Success

Deny it all you want, your brain knows how you really feel about “Who Let the Dogs Out?” says the Wall Street Journal. According to some new research from Emory University, to determine the commercial success of a pop song all you have to do is play it while you have a teenager hooked up to a brain scan. Researchers say when observing the places in the brain that control pleasure and rewards, some songs stand out as hits.  From a brain scan alone, scientists were able to determine what songs would go on to sell at least 20,000 copies.
