“Phishing” Trip Nets Loads of Drugs

Atlantic City police recently went on a very successful “Phishing” excursion. The Grateful Dead-inspired jam band played in the city last weekend. And police collected almost $300,000 worth of drugs at the shows. They also arrested quite a few people including someone who “assaulted a detective with nitrous oxide.” The Philadelphia Inquirer provides an “illustrated field guide” of what was confiscated. My favorite has the be the weed-laced Rice Krispies treats, which the Inquirer dubs, “Snap, Crackle, Pot.”

It’s just mainstream papers that like to lampoon the band. The Onion took a crack at Phish back in 1996.
