Freeze Tag Deemed “Too Risky” For Camp

Kickball. Dodgeball. Freeze Tag. Sounds like summer, right? Not anymore says the New York Daily News. Concerned that several classic games from childhood are now too “risky,” New York state has passed a law to shut down recreation programs that try to implement two or more games without state certification. Apparently the law is intended to close a loophole, which state legislators say allowed too many day camps to operate without oversight. Other games categorized as “risky” include: Capture the Flag, Steal the Bacon, Red Rover and Wiffle Ball.
