Repurposed X-Rays Become “Miss TSA” Pinup Calendar

A series of sexy x-ray images of a woman in high heels has been making the rounds under the headline “Miss TSA Pinup Calendar.” Brilliant gag.

It’s actually a real calendar issued months ago by a Japanese computer screen maker called Eizo. It had nothing to do with the TSA or the body-scan controversy. But this week the images have found new life. It’s a little tough to figure out where the images got their start this time round (Mediaite thinks it was outburst.com) but in any case it’s a great example of how something that’s overlooked the first time can be re-imagined because of a story in the news.

AOL’s Gadling.com has a good rundown of how the story evolved and full-sized versions of the computer generated images from all 12 pages of the calendar.
